April 13, 2026

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear signs into law KY HJR 75, which includes 2028 to 2032 funding for Kentucky Highway pre-construction projects. KY 286 is slated for $4.2 million in FY 29 and $2 million in FY 2030. HJR 75 describes the pre-construction funding to be applied to "improved geometric deficiencies, freight truck mobility, and improve safety from Hershel Jones Road to KY 473 (in Gage)." KY 286 Residents Demanding Traffic reform publishes its first survey of residents. The poll found 90% of respondents feel moderately unsafe driving KY286 while 46% feel extremely unsafe.
